In-game name:
Indigoman
Age:
15
Why are you interested in joining this server?:
I would like to join this server to learn more about redstone through observation. I am currently working on some of my own projects, but I would like to see what more advanced redstoners are doing with their creations. I would like to contribute my own designs of logical circuits, such as those that would belong in a computer's CPU, and fast input and display mechanisms with minimal circuitry. This server can offer me the lower-player number environment that many other servers lack, whilst having apparently excellent redstoners.
Current Redstone knowledge:
I know about logic circuits, clocks of various kinds, piston mechanics (except for BUD powering, I am still new with that), fast redstone signal transmission, and complex redstone-torch circuits. I am not knowledgeable in miniaturization, BUD powering, slime-block contraptions, item transportation/minecart systems, mob mechanics, and signal strength utilization (comparators, daylight sensors).
Past Redstone Experience:
I have built redstone memory arrays, similar to those used in CPU registers. These have included piston-based units, rs-latches, and dropper systems, each with clear operations and data input operations. I have made FOV-optimized displays. These are made so that they create a computer-experience that makes the periphery more detailed, the center less detailed, and have made them for use by players with high-FOV settings to maximize screen size within a smaller render distance. This used redstone input from the sides within 16 by 16 arrays within a large 16 by 16 array. The individual lights would light up when two signals collide. Finally, I have used techniques used in the fov-displays to display number inputs with appropriate detail. I made it for use with polynomial function circuits with binary output so that graphs can be plotted. This used spacing in lighting, decoder arrays, and the collision-based lighting that I mentioned earlier. The design looked like a witch hat.
About how often do you play Minecraft?:
1-5 hours per day
Anything else you'd like to mention? (Optional):
I am currently a college student majoring in computer science. I have in-depth knowledge in calculus and decent knowledge in computer programming.
Application status:
Approved
What kind of creations would you like to build on this server?:
I would like to build logical circuits, similar to those used in computers. I would also like to work on displays and inputs that are fast. I would like to work on cryptographic systems, as I have real world knowledge about them.
