Is it really advertising, when you want to show someone stuff you built in your single player world and open a server to show him/her what you built? I mean it's a privat server, no official server. I would ban me myself, if I give the IPs from official servers, but it's just a privat server... I don't get the point behind that, because stym opened this server, so you can show stuff you invented, to expend your knowledge about redstone and see what others built, to learn more about redstone, or not? So why is it advertising, when i want to show someone stuff i built on my sp world?
Because we Mods can't check the server if it is a private server or an official server. And simply asking a member to log off on our server, to join their server; private or not. Would be consider as an attampt to "steal" members. And atleast I have zero tollerance for such an act. Rember that if your walking on that server, we won't be able to notice advertising of official servers.
My conclusion would be:
This is a rule made by Stym. It's one of our fondamental rules. And will stay as stricts as it is. And for the moment, I could only belive that the easiest way to show your work, would be to make a video.
For other people that sees this post, feel freely to post your opionion. And for the very last. Don't argue with a stubborn Norwegian.

If this counts as advertising, i'm sorry, because i didn't want to advertise. I really like this server and the people on it.
(In my opinion it wasn't that fair to ban me directly... But ok i accept that with all the other rules. )
I like to learn all about redstone and i want to help others and i sometimes need help as well. I never wanted to steal members or something like that, I "just" wanted to show someone something i built on my server, because i can't easily rebuild it, because it is too big. I will never do it again, because it counts as advertising. So i accept that and hope, that you can come over it and let me build again. I can stay learner forever if you want, but please let me come on the server again, i miss my the people from the server!
I've choosen to unban you due to the apologize. And since the ban were a severe punishment for giving out an IP in "Person messege" one single time. I do hope that you do understand the consequences by breaking our fundamental rules. And I do hope that we can put this behind us.
You still have the opportunity to build something for a rank up. How ever you will stay as a beggar for a couple of hours. Take good care!

The advertising rule is as follows.
Do not advertise servers that you own or do not own.
Nor shall you advertise a server even if it is private.
The only way to actually advertise a server on this forum or on the Minecraft redstone server is by asking a staff member about permission to do so, and if (s)he agrees, then you can post the server ip ONE time.
