This is a Tic Tac Toe machine with victory and tie detection, spam protection, automatic turn swapping, and the ability to not do anything if the user attempts to use a space that is already pressed. Each square is a small 3 by 3 display. There is also a panel on the side that briefly summarizes each circuit for ease of understanding, as it is difficult to navigate.
Players take turns selecting squares to mark as either an X or an O depending on if they went first or not, X goes first. The inputs will then lock up until they are done being processed. If the user attempts to input something, the machine will not respond. If the user attempts to select a square that is already taken, the machine will not respond aside from locking up inputs temporarily, this will only last until after the normal duration because this is controlled by a pulse extender. If there is a straight row of either X's or O's is detected, a light will turn on closest to the big X or O, depending on the victor. If the board is full, then the middle light will turn on signaling a tie.
