Why are you interested in joining this server?:
I'm an EE major in my sophomore year and, in our recent courses, we had to do a bunch of digital logic, build a simple microprocessor architecture and synthesize it on an FPGA and all that jazz.
I absolutely a d o r e d it all and I figured building this sort of thing in Minecraft could be fun as well. And even more fun than just building things, sharing it with other people is also a big plus.
This server came up on top of one list I was looking at of vanilla creative servers with redstone and, at first impression, it seems to have a pretty thoroughly moderated community so I figured, why not :D
Current Redstone knowledge:
I'd say I'm at least somewhat knowledgeable in digital logic and building circuits but my redstone knowhow is fairly limited as of right now. That is to say, I know how to build things out of logic gates, but don't know exactly what the best way to implement those gates with redstone is.
Past Redstone Experience:
I had built a 4-bit full-adder a long while ago, using a bunch of XOR gates built out of pistons and torches, but I think that was before even comparators were a thing.
I have also tried to build simpler mechanisms such as hidden doors with passwords and stuff, but without much success xD
That was all before I knew how most of this worked, tho, and I was mostly copying stuff I saw online.
About how often do you play Minecraft?:
1-5 hours per week
Anything else you'd like to mention? (Optional):
I'm hoping to have fun! :D
Application status:
Approved
What kind of creations would you like to build on this server?:
Probably some kind of game (Pong, perhaps?) and definitely things involving note blocks (sequencers? instruments? who knows)
