Why are you interested in joining this server?:
I love to learn and teach! I'm a software engineer that has always loved redstone in minecraft, and lately i've been researching computational redstone. I want to join you guys because, when I first joined, the few people I met were very friendly! One guy helped me figure out logic gates, and I taught a kid about SR and D Flip-Flops. I can help educate people who want to learn more once I know a bit more myself, and would love to help contribute to some projects or experiments as well. I'm not sure what this server can offer me that others can't, because I haven't been to many others. I do like this one quite well so far though, and hope you'll have me join you :)
Current Redstone knowledge:
| 1 redstone tick == 2 game ticks
| comparators are amazing and can pull signals from all kinds of things
| if you 1 tick pulse a sticky piston it can spit out it's block
| it's good to reduce light emitting redstone block in builds where you can to help with server performance
| the above rule mainly applies to large builds, as small things running at reasonable speeds should be mostly fine
| My mind is blanking trying to come up with things, so if it helps at all I'm a fan of Gnembon and Il Mango, to give an idea of what i'm familiar with
Past Redstone Experience:
I have created nothing original that is notable. I would love to, but there's more I want to learn before trying anything big by myself. I've replicated all manner of things, though. I ran a small whitelisted server about a year or so ago and we had a go at: |
- world eaters,
- almost every farm gnembon designed that worked in the version we were playing (1.14 I believe),
- started a perma loader and got halfway through before learning it didn't work anymore
- a beautifully balanced auto smelting system
- sorted outputs on everything
- pistonbolts even though we have faster modes of transport cuz they're cool and I love them
- having a hard time thinking of more
About how often do you play Minecraft?:
1-5 hours per day

I know I don't have a lot to offer right now other than an eager mind, but I hope you'll consider me for membership. Also, I love your visitor challenges! I haven't been this excited about minecraft in a while. Thanks for bringing the spark back <3 |

Computational circuits, minigames, and anything interesting that is within server rules! I'd like to look around, make some friends, learn more about redstone, and explore this facet of the game in a community of like minded people.
