It is a nice old-school RAM component.
But its core is defined by a single memory cell (which is stacked).
A single memory unit is often called "register", it only stores one value. Multiple of these normally make up memory.
But that alone is not enough for a next rank - you want to make use of the memory by for example building a CPU or similar.
If you want to showcase memory, you should have 8 to 16 bits per memory slot. And at least 4 slots of memory (4 values possible to write).
It should be possible to select one of the 4 slots for reading/writing and select it with a binary number (one needs a decoder then).
Instead of flicking the control signals manually, there should be buttons and levers to give the memory unit instructions, like "read/write" and the number of the slot to use, as well as the input data.
