Why are you interested in joining this server?:
I would like to get better at redstone and learn how to make more complex creations. I enjoy making redstone creations, and helping other people make redstone too (as long as I understand it). I like redstone because I know of how much it can do, I am just unable to push it to its limits as I am not smart enough. Hopefully by joining this server I can increase my redstone knowledge and become better at it overall.
Current Redstone knowledge:
I know about double extenders, one tick pulses, block updates, target blocks, comparators, and the bug with powering pistons from 2 blocks away (I forgot what it was called). I know that double extenders are used to push blocks farther then a regular piston could while keeping the actual pistons in a 1 block row. I mainly use one tick pulses to have buttons act like levers for sticky pistons, since one ticking a piston causes it to leave the block behind when retracting. Block updates are used to get one ticks from observers, which are just the state of a block changing. Target blocks can be used to re-direct redstone into them, which is very useful for compacting your redstone.
Past Redstone Experience:
My best creation to date is a 3x3 piston door. It uses one tick pulses on all the pistons, with a double extender at the top to remove the middle block. The piston on the bottom double fires to push the middle block into place, which it does with an observer chain. The top pistons are a simple double extender, that pushes the the top block down before retracting the back up. It does this so the bottom piston can grab it again.
