Application for Ultranegative

In-game name:
Ultranegative
Age (Optional):
20
Why are you interested in joining this server?:
I enjoy a hands-on approach to learning in general. I could simply watch videos online and gradually get better at redstone that way, but this gets incredibly lonely. In order to thrive while learning I need social interaction. In general I'm a very compassionate and caring person, and I believe there can never be too much of that in the world. I assume the mentors can provide a flexible, yet structured model with which to learn. Also, glancing through the images of redstone creations, I see creativity within the extreme structure of more complex devices, which is something I hope to cultivate for myself. Using redstone as a creative outlet would be beneficial to me.
Current Redstone knowledge:
Much of my knowledge is hazy. I believe I have a strong general understanding of the various ways redstone can power objects, whether that be through strong/weak signals, falling/rising edge monostable circuits, or bud logistics. I also have a general understanding of logic gates. When I practiced more regularly I would find myself building piston doors, extenders, elevators (flying machine and piston elevators), as well as more simple, problem-oriented contraptions like item sorters and automatic farms. Currently I constantly feel like I am on the edge of a break-through in understanding redstone, but that there is some piece to my knowledge that is missing. I also am aware that my knowledge of flying machines is quite poor.
Past Redstone Experience:
I built a tic-tac-toe board a very long time ago. Probably 5 or more years ago. It could be played against an "a.i." or with another player. It wasn't very complex, just tedious to build. It made use of (I believe?) XOR gates to lock the position of the pistons in either an X or an O. I've also designed my own 3x3 piston door, although that isn't terribly difficult. I've also made a (quite inefficient) button combination lock, although that too was little more than some fancy rs nor latches.
About how often do you play Minecraft?:
1-5 hours per day
Anything else you'd like to mention? (Optional):
I got a real kick out of the other applications. I find it hilarious the kinds of things people will do to try to get around writing legitimate applications.
Application status:

What kind of creations would you like to build on this server?:
Flying machines, more complex doors and farms. A large amount of my inspiration comes from the people at Sci-Craft, and their incredible ingenuity. Learning to problem-solve with redstone is incredibly attractive to me.
