This machine includes:
-chip falling animation
-it is spam proof
-it has turn detection
-has a turn indicator
Now let me tell you what components are used. I used a circuit with 2 inputs when when input is activated it shows a + or a o and when the other input is activated it shows a + or a o. the next circuit decides weather if its a + or a o. How? you may ask well it uses the for states of a repeater when the repeater is not powered it shows nothing on the board and when the repeater is locked with a 0 its shows a o on the board and when the repeater i s locked with a 1 it shows a + on the board now let me tell you about the gravity circuit. Its really simple so i used a bunch of sr latches and connected them all with a torch tower now we have a falling animation but there is a problem when you start the falling animation it all the outputs stay activated I needed to find a way to reset the sr latch above it so I made a rule the rule states that when a sr latch is set the sr latch above it must get reset I hope u understand what i just typed. So the way I made the rule was with a pulse generator so i connect the pulse generator to the sr latch and there is a fully a working gravity circuit. Now ill tell u about the turn detection so when you press the button it activates a t flip flop which goes into a observer which sends a pulse which activates the sr latches sending down the chip and it also activates a note block to make a nice little sound and it also activates a redstone line which activates another t flip flop which powers on or off a redstone line the redstone line if powered will make the circuit which choses weather a + or o should be placed show a + and if it is unpowered it will show a o thats how the turn detection works .The reset feature just resets all the sr latches I will not go over the the turn indicator because it is the same as how the images are displayed on the board im planning to make win detection.
You press a button on top of the column which u want to drop a chip and the chip will fall with a nice falling animation. Your C4 is quite neatly built - with good color coding - very nice to look at.
Yes for Regular, it obviously needs working win detection and decent spam proofing.
But for Tinkerer there are also some more things to be improved:
- There is a broken column (second from left) a dropper is wrongly aligned (easy fix).
- When a column is full and you keep using it, the turn detection still triggers.
- It is very easy to just fly along the buttons and press a bunch of them, chances are high one lands 2-4 X's or O's. This should preferably not happen for Tinkerer. You might need to change how you do spam protection (annoying, but possible).
- Win detection is ofc not there yet, which imo is "okay" for Tinkerer. But then I would like to see another minigame or PR of similar quality as your C4.
Summary:
There is a bit more to polish for this PR to be good enough for Tinkerer. Without win detection I would however like to see another build of similar quality for Tinkerer.
