This is an improved version of v1. RitzKid76 helped me a lot—I basically built this by following what he wrote.
It includes a standard keypad system, and the compile/reset only works when the correct code is entered. There’s also a retry reset feature. There are two indicator lamps: one lights up when a code is being entered, and the other lights up when the correct code is entered.
Originally, I made this myself, but v1 was built together with SGT, and I also worked on v1 and smaller systems with him—without him, I probably wouldn’t be here. If I need to go into more detail: there are five components using the same ports; those are signal comparators. We managed to make them more compact with SGT, which is why this version is smaller than v1, although it doesn’t have as many features.
The reason v1 had more features was because it was needed for testing. And yes, I like using triggers—I’ll add them if this gets accepted or once I’m done with it. I also decorated it a bit; it makes the system slightly bigger, but it looks better. Hopefully that’s not an issue.
It’s also a bit faster and more compact overall.
Finally, I want to sincerely thank RitzKid—his comments played a key role in v2.
Actually, most of it is written above, and I used ChatGPT to help so your eyes wouldn’t get tired
