I haven't done much, but I can understand complicated stuff. So far I've done a train station that is mostly finished (I don't need to explain how this works, a lot of people have done this. Except I did not use a tutorial or anyone else's example). I've also done a "bank" security system where there are two rooms; the second is blocked by a piston that you can not jump over (walls only two blocks high) and to get in you have to type in a "code" using levers (ex: every piston is a different number, you can "type" 1 and 5 and 6 or something like that and it deactivates the piston). In the second room is a chest where you can safely store your valuable things. You can easily change the passcode, also. The more numbers you have, the safer it is. I'm not 100% finished with this yet, though. I want to make a feature where if you type any number that's wrong you fall down a hole. Though I only got started on that. I've done a bunch of minigames, too, where you press a button and it starts; pistons try to push you in to water. It's based on a minigame from the Yoglympics (I forgot what it was called) but it's not exactly the same. You can't jump, either, and once you start you can't get out of the arena (it locks you in until you're done). I don't have any pics, but I swear I've done these stuff!
