Why are you interested in joining this server?:
It just seems to be a great, dedicated server. I've always marvled at impressive redstone creations within minecraft, and am hoping to extend my knowledge of the wonderful minecraftian art of redstone. Being able to play with other people also dedicated to redstone is the experience that I am looking for, and this server seems to be an opportunity for just that.
Current Redstone knowledge:
My redstone knowledge is not great, and I hope that doesn't intervine with this application, as I am hoping to gain more redstone knowledge by playing on this server. I have knowledge of a couple of simple gates, which I won't name in entirety as I am not 100% sure what name each gate has (I believe some are AND, and NAND). I know how redstone interactes, as with blocks, half blocks (or slabs), inverters, repeater aspects, such things. Clocks, timing of a redstone output, making a clock toggleable. I dont have much knowledge with the comparator however, and what can be achieved with other new 1.5 redstone elements (as in I know what they can do, but what they can be usefully used for, in exception of the hopper, thats pretty simple).
Past Redstone Experience:
My best redstone creations arent't anything amazing, or grand like many I read about in other applications, but I am still midly proud of them. I like creating player traps, automatically resetable at best. Ex. I have made a trap that involves block updates of a cooking furnace to toggle a signal that can be used to, well do just about anything, one of the great things about redstone. I have made versions with opening piston floors, ceiling opening up with pistons to drop lava, sand/gravel, or anvils, set off tnt (which is a pain to have to rebuild), or spawn mobs (if in creative), or piston crushers. The fun of redstone is be able to have an input, which can be in many forms (buttons, levers, pressure plates, block updates, tripwire, etc.) and being able to take that information and make anything you put you heart's content to build.

I hope that you will consider my application though my redstone knowledge is nothing grand, and I hope to learn of more ways to use redstone to create more awesomness within minecraft through playing on this server.
