Why are you interested in joining this server?:
I want a place to collaborate on redstone projects. It's difficult to find players who understand redstone well. I like to share what I know and learn from other players, and I'm trying to find a place to do that.
Current Redstone knowledge:
I understand redstone pretty well I think. Conductive blocks, insulating blocks, logic gates, binary arithmetic, block-updates, signal strength. I'm curious about using pulse-length to encode signals.
Past Redstone Experience:
I've built two QWERTY keyboard password designs. One is bigger but is harder to crack. I've built item counters, a SAM R/W memory unit based on blocks with a fast 5-tick write cycle for the bit under the write head, 7 segment displays, encoders for those displays, and a piston-based memory unit with full simultaneous output of all bits that can +1, reset to its highest value, and consequently, subtract -1.
Anything else you'd like to mention? (Optional):
I've included links to some videos. The first link is about a Bukkit plugin I wrote. The second link is a reaaaally old prototype for a ROM unit. I later expanded this, getting rid of the clock-driven pistons and instead used BUDs, added a larger read pin-out, and added a write head!
I've written a Javascript-based modding system for Minecraft. I used it to write a bunch of mods and bots for the client, but it could work for the client as well. It's based on MCP though, so I've never used it for writing server stuff. I've also written some Bukkit plugins.
Right now I'm interested in designing an automated shop, and after that, I'd like to design a fully automated "trading computer" so that players can simply press buttons to trade items on a fully automated item exchange.
