Why are you interested in joining this server?:
In order to learn more from redstone logic, I think I need to look around and get involved with other redstone geeks to boost both our redstone knowledge. From time to time, I would like to create huge redstone devices, but on my old slow computer these devices would never work. I also like to share my creations to other people.
I have to mention that I've never joined any online MC server before, so I'm kinda unexperienced at that point, but I think that won't be such a big problem.
And there's one more thing: I'm Dutch and my English isn't always that good.
Current Redstone knowledge:
At the moment I am going to learn every bit (including all quircks) of redstone logic and how I can create more compact and more efficient redstone devices. Several weeks ago I created my first fast writable monodirectional tape (it takes 4 ticks to write data and 1 tick to read data). Before that I created a very inefficient 8 bit ALU with 4 instructions (see 8 bit ALU project on first link). I'm not that proud of that device but that was my first 8 bit redstone device.
My most recent projects (and the ones I described above) are located in the first link (I also have an account myself there, but at the moment nothing special there).
Past Redstone Experience:
Two years ago, I created my first 1 bit CPU in MC. After that, I made many decoders, ALU's, bit shifters, RAM and (EP)ROM modules. The RAM modules were very simple and not that efficient (I designed 4 byte RAM modules and I stacked it multiple times to enlarge its capacity and I connected everything altogether). The last project I was working on was a 2 bit processor, but I got stuck and cancelled that project. Before that I was working on MCS4, including the i4001, i4002 and i4004, but I cancelled that project because it would take too much time and I had not had a very good description how the internal components actually worked.
Anything else you'd like to mention? (Optional):
I'm a software developer in multiple languages (i.e. high level like Java, mid level like C, and low level like MCS4 assembly and many more other languages). I'm currently working on a very huge project but I won't mention what I'm exactly working on yet. Maybe in the future I will publish it on planetminecraft.
