Why are you interested in joining this server?:
I've have a basic understanding of redstone, but in order to build better events for another server, I would like to understand more advanced redstone techniques. I am especially interested in clocks, timers, and displays, for showing the remaining time in an event, as well as larger gates for making areas appear awesome, and attempting to make looping "TV" designs.
Current Redstone knowledge:
I understand NOT gates, AND gates, NAND gates, OR gates, and NOR gates, but not much more advanced than that. I understand redstone's, redstone torch's, and redstone repeater's properties on normal blocks, but do not know how it works when on glowstone or lamps or stairs nor how comparators operate. I understand T flip-flops and their utility in creating computing storage, but have no idea how to implement them into a larger computer.
Past Redstone Experience:
I created a basic parkour course, modelled after Aperture Science from Portal 2, that utilized redstone to power/depower lights with a noise down its entire length and start/stop redstone loops using pistons on a lever and simple one-way input from a button. The redstone loops were basic, and simply extended or retracted sticky pistons to create platforms or push players off of them, as well as a gate at the end that was active for only twenty seconds after a button was pushed, forcing players to parkour speedily.
Anything else you'd like to mention? (Optional):
Thanks for your time onlybob. =)
