Why are you interested in joining this server?:
Since the RDF folded, I've been looking for another Redstone server to try out. Haven't had much luck finding one that seems to be active and have a group of knowledgeable players. I'm hoping that this is the server that will fit the description.
I'd like to join the server to be able to continue my experimentation with re-writable ROM systems (more details below).
Current Redstone knowledge:
Knowledge of all the logic gates, decoders, single wire transmitters (serial), various displays (pixel, segment, scrolling pixel displays). Also have knowledge on ROM and (limited) RAM drives.
Past Redstone Experience:
In the past I was a Foreman (Semi-Admin) of the Redstone Development Foundation. At the time we were the largest and best redstone group, but due to server issues and time of the server admin it closed down.
I led the ultraseg project. The largest (at the time, and I imagine still now) seven segment display ever made in Minecraft. The link to the video is here: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/602460-the-ultraseg/
We connected it to a decoder and a counter to show it off. It's a pretty simple design, and definitely wasn't as neat as we could have done it (but creating a display that size without world edit was a bit on the painful side!).
Other projects including making a clock that gave us that counted the number of days the server went through, a maze that changed shape as you walked through it and a counter that could go into the thousands. I spent a lot of time working on ROM through use of a piston tumbler. At the end of the RDF's life I was working on a pixel display that would show a picture according to what was written into a rewrite-able ROM unit.
