Why are you interested in joining this server?:
I believe I will be able to learn from the community more about red stone design techniques which I can make use of when making a complicated circuit. Integrated circuits have always intrigued me, and I enjoy designing new circuits, then simulating them. Minecraft allows me a way to go a step beyond and challenges me to build a structure which allow the flow of red stone as efficiently as possible.
I am currently taking Computer Architecture at my university and wish to continue my research on developing techniques to be used both in red stone and in real life computing.
Current Redstone knowledge:
I know all the basic tricks such as how signals can travel through most blocks. I'm aware of how Block Update Detectors work as well as how red stone signals flow when wired to other blocks such as pistons. I am however unfamiliar with most of the more intrinsic, patch-to-patch exploits, such as the old red stone boat/pressureplate remote control techniques.
Past Redstone Experience:
I have been able to create a rudimentary 4 bit calculator with 7-segment display and adding capabilities. I've collaborated with friends before to develop new ways to build different kinds of red stone structures such as, elevators and item transporters using only droppers and dispensers. I have built a combination lock before, and am currently trying to develop a permutation lock. I enjoy making more compact schematics for things such as disposal systems and doors.
About how often do you play Minecraft?:
1-5 hours per week

I think I would be an excellent addition to your community and intend to learn better ways to compact the schematics I currently have made. :)
