Why are you interested in joining this server?:
I'm interested in this server because I'm looking for a helpful community to help me with my projects. Most of my projects are for personal enrichment, and have to do with logic, mathematics, general computing, or just plain automation. I'm open to help, and I feel like I could have the opportunity here to not just teach but be taught.
Current Redstone knowledge:
Basic logic gates (AND, OR, XOR, NOT) as well as a simple boolean arithmetic (Mainly addition and subtraction), including ALU/CPU building, are my strong-suits, and as for redstone-specific knowledge, I know that a redstone signal decays after 15 blocks, that a repeater can be used as a diode, and can be used to refresh a signal, that pistons are used to push blocks, that redstone current can pass through "solid" blocks, and that redstone torches can be used as signal-inverters (NOT gates).
Past Redstone Experience:
In the past, I have developed many computer components that may be useful, including one 4-bit redstone computer. My ALUs are very compact and usually have either 7 or 9 functions. All of my ALUs can do boolean logical operations, can add, and can invert a number.
My 4 bit computer has 2 4-bit general purpose registers, one 6-bit program counter, 4 nybles of memory, one memory pointer register for indirect memory addressing, and an ALU that can perform AND, OR, XOR, ADD, NOT, Shift-left and shift-right. Unfortunately, it relied heavily on pistons and dust-cut logic, and thus caused a lot of piston lag.
About how often do you play Minecraft?:
6-10 hours per week
Anything else you'd like to mention? (Optional):
regular repeaters can go die in a fire. I really want 0-tick repeaters that aren't 2-wide and 3-tall.
