Why are you interested in joining this server?:
I am looking for a server where I can meet some friends who also enjoy redstone. I also want to be able to share cool builds and learn different ways of achieving a circuit through others thought processes. I haven't had any extensive builds yet, but I am knowledgable about electronic circuits in real life, so I can help others understand a more real world approach through logic and actual circuit schematics that will be used to ensure high quality builds. This server seems to be less formal than others, and I enjoy casualness and comradeship over rigidity.
Current Redstone knowledge:
I know all basic logic gates, such as the AND, OR, XOR, inverter, NOR, and XNOR, though I do not have the most space efficient designs with them. I know how to build a basic adder with a carry bit. I also know how to build J-K flip flops that are useful in counters. I do not know much about pistons and their benefits to large redstone designs.
Past Redstone Experience:
Using 4 J-K flip flops I created a counter that was then input into a 7 segment display. By pulsing a clock to one of the inputs on the flip flop, I incremented from 0 to 15 by having J and K set to constantly be true, and having the Q bit toggle. I then decoded the signal so that it would output the correct value to the display by using a series of logic gates that were simplified using a technique called Karnaugh Mapping.
About how often do you play Minecraft?:
1-5 hours per week
