Why are you interested in joining this server?:
I greatly enjoy electronics and engineering, and redstone is one of the most apt simulations of a binary system that I have found thus far. It is easy to work with, and most importantly easy to learn. I am an aspiring student, being a high school junior and am going to be enrolled in both college calculus and physics this coming year, after exhausting all of the math and physics at my current high school. I am excited to work with some of the best minds redstoning has to offer, and most of all excited to learn all that I can about how redstone can be used.
Current Redstone knowledge:
I enjoy simulating binary systems, I am familiar with binary logic and most arithmetic operations. I am familiar with working with analog signals (signal strengths), as well as automated minecart sytsems.
Past Redstone Experience:
Dot/Bar Decoder for Signal Strength (SS to Unary): A variation on the classic design of the one-torch-per-signal-strength contraption, which is able to accept two-tick pulses indefinitely. A simple lever toggle enables the bar mode.
Repeaterless 7-Piston Retracter -- Uses a comparator tape to hold continuous data for the retraction of 7 pistons, using the Dot/Bar Decoder.
ATS -- Automatic Transit System -- An automated minecart routing system that is uses routing date encoded in binary, which is passed through segments and junctions to route a given cart to it's desired location. Essentially, the player enters a code in binary to their entry point, and is automatically taken to the location given that code. There is support for multiple people in the system at a given time, as well as a mechanic where the routing data is re-emitted every so often.
4-Place Hexadecimal Adder -- A signal strength adder, takes signal strength and directly adds it together, using redstone signal strength as the "numerals".
Signal Strength to Unary to Binary, using the Dot/Bar Decoder in dot mode.
About how often do you play Minecraft?:
6-10 hours per week
