Why are you interested in joining this server?:
I want to join this server to learn more about redstone. I saw a few different videos about redstone computers, and I want to build one myself, as well as other things, but there's really nowhere I can do that now, because I'll need the expertise of a more skilled redstone individual. I know about real life electricity, from breadboarding to Arduino to building computers, and I can apply that knowledge to Minecraft redstone, enabling me to catch on faster. I also really dislike servers that allow anyone on because of all the foul language and general rudeness. This is my first ever server application to any server that requires one, and I think that, with the thinned-out community, I will not only have a more enjoyable learning experience, but also a better social experience.
Current Redstone knowledge:
I've done a few basic things with redstone, both with and without RedPower and other redstone-oriented mods. I can quickly and efficiently build logic gates like the AND, OR, NOT, NOR, and XOR, and, based off of my knowledge about the physics and structure of these gates, expand the number of inputs. I've also built a multiplexer with 8:1 mux, and a few other simple binary-oriented devices. That's about where my knowledge stops, but I'm a fast learner and can catch on quickly to more advanced machines.
Past Redstone Experience:
I was into arranging clocks, pistons, et cetera to make "complex" machines like jeb doors, mail systems employing hoppers nd comparators, and different techniques of item transposition like via hoppers that count throughput and minecarts, and I make creations with note blocks that use loops, as well. I also enjoyed building redstone rollercoasters (and still do). My favorite part was (and still is) making redstone-automated special effects with detector rails, pistons, and tripwires, which I made more and more complicated as I learned more about fundamental redstone physics.
About how often do you play Minecraft?:
6-10 hours per week
Anything else you'd like to mention? (Optional):
If any knowledge involving note blocks is appreciated, I can help with that because I have taken piano lessons for 4.5 years and recently discovered that I have perfect pitch.
