Should be back up now... Unfortunately, didn't get the memory to work and had to rollback the world a bit. I guess we are going to retry after we make sure the new RAM is working. Sorry for the downtime.

I also love the choice of building with redstone or vanilla craft. By far the best server I have been on and I don't plan on leaving any time soon or in the future at all for that matter, lol.
An update: f*cking ISP has "lost" our payment, so they shut us down after 12:00 AM this night. MeSummer is currently on the way to their office to rule out this situation.

I don't know why, but I've never been able to connect to the server. I've checked almost everyday for a few weeks now but on my multiplayer server list it always says "Can't reach server." The server address is alpha.redstone-server.info right?
There seems to be a problem with the beta server again. Whenever I try to join, minecraft basically freezes. I check my task manager and it says java is taking 700k memory.

Upped the server to 10 slots, waiting for someone to come and test it. ;]

A hardware upgrade! A bit unexpected and so far not successful (=__="), but we're working on it. Once it's done we'll have 4 GB of RAM.

Is the server down? Or is it just my Minecraft acting up and being weird?
The server suffered from a bug where level.dat files are cut to 0 bytes... Should be back up now.
What is the status and will it be up soon?

the alpha server has been down for a couple of weeks. Try the beta as well. It's down at the moment, but it'll probable be up in a few min /few days

The problem is your Minecraft. Delete your minecraft folder (not the exe). Also, the alpha server is outdated so it has been taken down.
i go frew logging in but then i get connection lost end of stream . i think the server is getting so lagy it is iposible to join.

The server is up. I am taking remedial action to reduce RAM usage. Some "luxury" mods like DynMap might get disabled for some time.
I keep on getting Took Too Long To Log In messages (aka something along the line has slowed down) , can you see if it is a problem with the server?
