Hey guys,
i haven't been building on the server for a few weeks now.
Sorry for that, but i have a lot to do with my business.
But i came up with the idea to make this an open project.
i have lots of ideas for extending the MineRace Project, but it takes too much time for me to build.
But i dont want this to be frozen. It could be more than just ideas.
Many people on the server were targetless searching for a Project to help.
I was told that the server is about learning and teaching.
The MineRace Project has lots of sections where you can proof your knowledge.
So i ask YOU to join the MineRace Project as a Redstone-Server Community Project.
To the admins: This will only be a Project if you confirm that!
Is there a way to get informed by email onTopicAnswer?
We will need:
- Counter Pros for stacking and scoring
- Railing and Minecart Experts for handling the difficulties of minecraft
- Dispensing Bachelors for rewarding, and triggering
- Memory Freaks for making the game interresting
- Timing Doctors for keeping the timing fast and equal
- Puzzle Specialists for rising the difficulty
- Track Designers for making it a racing adventure
- Environment Designers for a cool looking "level" (maybe fx and sprites)
- Project Observers for reporting
- Module Managers for keeping the modules small
- Processor Architects for handling the game events
- Program Developers for developing the game's redstone cycles
- Tactical Generals for planning the interactions of the active players
- World Edit Professionals for saving a lot of time
- Admins to prevent griefing and doing the permissions
- Redstone Scientists for implementing Silent BUD Switches and compact control elements
There will be a lot of experimenting, deveolping and planning.
Many of the built contraptions on the server could be used.
Minecart stackers, Pianos, Adders, Counters, RAM, ROM, Clocks, encoders, Program based game cycles,
score tables, displays, circuit based sprites, block swappers, randomizer... whatever you can imagine.
There are challanges for beginners and for experts. Can you handle it?
Some tacticals:
- Give em bows and battle areas within the track?
- Give em Potions?
- How many possible boosters?
Some examples of resetable puzzles (binary-, optical- or sound-based)
- 1-4 player rock paper scissors
- Randomized Calculator games
- Place-a-sand games
- binary-math games
- replay-the-sound games
- follow-the-color games (snake like)
if a player wins, he will get a speed boost or if he solved the puzzle quickly, he will launch earlier.
All this could be converted to one epic machine.
There are a few rules for the project:
1. You as a team will decide who will be in which role.
We have many very smart Redstoners here and this project will be a proof of competence for every section.
2. Contraptions have to be AS SMALL AS POSSIBLE!
Preferred are 1 wide builds.
3. Try to use less possible pistons for gates and circles!
4. The length and accelleration of each track has to be equal!
(this includes the availability of optional boosters)
5. The whole Game has to be resetable by 1 pulse
so cheers to the Programmers and Memory Freaks ;-)
