Im so excited to wait for this server to upgrade to 1.9, it would be great :D
but i know the pain of coding all the plugins and stuffs to work with 1.9 :/
Since ETA's lead to unrealistic deadlines and bad code, I'm not going to give you one. What I can do is list the things I believe are required for us to update:
- Our current backup plugin was built on Bukkit 1.6.4 and had some trouble working in 1.8 already, it's not compatible with 1.9 anymore. Since the plugin wasn't ideal to begin with, I'll be writing my own to suit exactly what we need.
- The current CraftBukkit version we are running is modded. I have to re-apply those mods to CraftBukkit 1.9.
- We have to wait for CraftBukkit to release a stable 1.9 build. The current build sometimes teleports players to the wrong coordinates in between-world teleports. I might as well just fix this myself if the rest of the todo's are done.
And perhaps it's good to know what I did already too:
- Updated WorldGuard to work with 1.9 and re-applied a bug patch they didn't fix themselves yet.
- Updated WorldEdit to work with 1.9 and re-applied a bug patch they didn't fix themselves yet.
- Updated various other plugins to be compatible with 1.9.
It might also be useful to know that I do not have a lot of time to spend until the 12th of april.
