Hello, It's me, Hardfg5000. I am Regular donator on the server. Yesterday, I have officially been on the server for 2 years. This is a little monologue, enjoy.
It has been like a train ride. The ride is long. Longer than I thought. I thought I was only going top get to Manchester, but I have been around the globe many times in 2 years. All of this magic and wonder started in Wed, 04/16/2014 - 20:39 (around) when I typed "redstone servers" into Google Search and there was a top result. It said "Styms Redstone Server" IP: beta.redstone-server.info. I was interested and I typed beta.redstone-server.info into Minecraft, and I woke up in spawn. This person who noticed me here, Dre200 (Kyndo) said for me to read the signs. I didn't at the time because I was too excited to build. I built my first build. It was a door lock. A local Flandyn came on and met me. My first kick was of advertisment of my YouTube channel. Later, I made my first application and it was denied. Same with the second one. The third one however, was accepted and it felt good to be able to build in more places. I wanted to build a TTT, so Dre200 gave me his spare board. I built the main mechanism, and Dre200, MeSoLost and a few others helped me and taught me. The TTT is my most special creation I have ever owned.
There was one thing though, I wanted a plot. I was considering a trial, but none of my ideas would have worked. But, after a lot of bugging to my Mum to donate, I eventually got it. A plot. next to Dre200's plot (at the time). I build a lot and made a floor, and the floor is still here to this day. My plot was eventually full, so I asked for an extension and sgort87 (Gort) accepted.
This was around the time that I made the mistake of advertising other servers in /msg. When Flandyn informed me that I got the [Probation] rank, I was devastated. I was afraid to talk in chat. But then, flandyn locked me in spawn. With a few messages online, Flandyn let me have access to fly around the world and to be able to talk. I was back to learner a day early.
Later the time, I met TacoMan089, unhandybirch, Petapetilon and a few others. They all made doors, like me (at the time). Taco made his first 5x5 in my plot and got Promoted to regular. Petapetilon made something to get her Builder. I was Learner and I felt really left out. Petapetilon made a series of nxn expandable doors, up to 6x6. The 6 high was the biggest functioning door on the server at the time. She also made the smallest 5x5 door on the server of 972 blocks. The Joy ended when the server was updated to 1.8. Most of her doors broke, including the 6 high expandable. I was heart broken and in early 2015, I couldn't handle it any more, and left the server which was a large mistake. I quit redstone and moved on to Steam games.
I returned around 6 months later, where everything has changed. Many new people have replaced the older ones and TacoMan089 and Petapetilon doesn't play any more. The people on the server helped me live through this change. But, everyone has been promoted to higher ranks and I have stayed Learner for all that time.
In November 2015, my heart was broken when Flandyn decided to leave his staff position. For a small amount of time, I was upset because he helped me be who I am and helped me through this time.
A few months ago, I got it. I was promoted after a prank an admin pulled on me. I did not expect a promotion and I was really happy when I got promoted. It gave me a chance to be more active.
Even though I do not redstone or even build in Minecraft anymore, I will stay active.
It has been a large journey. Starting in 2014 and ending up on 2 years was nothing I ever expected. Without searching "redstone servers" into Google Search, I would have quit Minecraft and moved on. I would like to thank Kyndo for accually helping me through all this, he is a great friend. This is the life we were given.
