Server OS update

I plan on updating the OS of the server in future.
Maybe this weekend can also be next weekend.
This only depends on when Stym has time.
When and how long the update will take, is not known.
If we start, i will leave a thread here.

Edit: Stym is busy currently, he has time in a month. (probably less)
Edit: No feedback from Stym at all.. So project aborted till there is feedback.

The Learners area will be cleared soon.

The Learner's area will be cleared on Friday September 30th. If you would like to show your creation to a mod/admin for a possible rankup, ask them at before the 29th.

As usual, it's possible to protect your build from being removed. To protect your build, perform the following steps ON OR AFTER September 16th:
1. Type "/protectbuild tool" to receive the tool in your actionbar.
2. Using the tool, select 2 opposit corners of a cubic region containing your build (this is identical to how WorldEdit selections work and even works with the client-side WorldEdit CUI mod).
3. Type "/protectbuild protectselectedarea". You will receive feedback about your selection being protected.

Rules for build protection:
- You are allowed to protect as many builds as you want to, but be so kind to not protect builds that you will never use again or builds that take you very little time to reproduce.
- Intended misuse will result in a (temporary) ban.
- Staff is allowed to deny your request to protect a build.
- Builds lost due to you forgetting to protect them will not be recovered.

If you are having trouble protecting your build, feel free to ask staff and other players for help. If you happen to run into a bug, you can send a personal message to me.

WorldEdit CUI mod for Minecraft 1.9.4

A lot of our members use the client mod WorldEdit CUI (A graphical WorldEdit region visualizer). If you would like to use WE CUI on the updated server, you can download and install it using the links below:
Liteloader (required to load the mod):
The mod itself:

A short install guide:
1. Download both files.
2. Load Minecraft 1.9.4 and close the window.
3. Execute liteloader-installer-1.9.4-00-SNAPSHOT.exe and click install.
4. Go to C:\Users\<>\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\mods (Create the mods folder if it's not there).
5. Move mod_worldeditcui_1.9.4_01_lite_mc1.9.4.litemod to the (new) mods folder (Make sure the extension is .litemod and NOT a .zip which appears to happen in some cases).
6. Start Minecraft, make a new profile named "MC 1.9.4 + CUI" and select game version "release 1.9.4-LiteLoader1.9.4".
7. Save the profile and load the game.

Note: This mod only adds a graphical visualization to your game client. If you don't have permission to use WorldEdit on the server, it will be useless to you.

Regular Clearing and Learner Move 2/13

The Regulars Area is currently shut down, and all builds will be removed Saturday 2/13. Any builds not moved out will be deleted. Contact staff in game or leave a comment here with your machine's coordinates to save and what plot to move it to.

After the Regular Plots are cleared, the Learner Area will be moved into that space. Learners should list their machines coordinates here if they would like to save them. Otherwise, they will be deleted that same day. Do not contact staff in game for Learner builds.

Regulars Have Private Plots

Regulars have now been approved for private plots! To claim your plot, use "/autoplot claim" while standing or flying in an empty plot. We will soon be discontinuing the public Regulars plots at /regular, so move your stuff out now!

New Spawn for 2016

Onlybob's spawn building has served us well for the past few years, but it's time for a upgrade. 2016 will hopefully be a year for great updates, including a new spawn building.

As many of you may already know, Kyndo has been hard at work designing and constructing the new building, with help from a few others including myself. His job is nearly done, and it's just about time for me to take over finishing it off with the new info signs. The building is much larger than the previous spawn building, and has enough space to hold much more detailed information in a more organized manner. Information topics are split up into banner-labeled rooms.

The different rooms are:
- First-Spawn Room
- Membership Walkthrough
- General Rank Info
- Donators
- Trial
- Warps
- Rank Challenges
- Member-Submitted Challenges
- Member YouTube Channels
- Commands Info
- Video Tutorial Links
- Rules
- Mod Packs & Textures
- Retired Staff
- Office for each current staff member
- Room for each separate skill rank (Learner, Regular, Builder, and Senior).

Other features will or will most likely include an auto-updating "Active Member Wall' with player heads and names, Teamspeak link button, Membership Video Tutorial button, Automated redstone lamp display marquee, Recent Donator pedestals, and mandatory commandblock-controlled noob question walkthrough on first join.

My question for you, is: Are we missing anything? Now is the time to speak up, because signs are starting to go up, and the sooner any major changes are made, the better it will be. Don't let us forget anything, whether it's a whole room, or just good info to have on one sign.

Visit the build at /warp Kyndo-Spawn. To make any suggestions, click "Read More" in the bottom right of this article and leave a comment.
